Daniel Tay

Daniel Tay is a Director & Co-Founder with Aegis Digital Asia, a boutique digital forensics, e-discovery and cybersecurity advisory firm. He brings more than 20 years of experience in law enforcement, regulatory bodies and digital forensics. 
 
Daniel is a founding board member of the Singapore Chapter of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association, which support forensic practitioners and future leaders at local universities and polytechnics. He has served as President of the Association and is currently its Secretary. 
 
With expertise ranging from digital forensics to large-scale, global multi-jurisdictional forensic discovery and cybersecurity investigations, Daniel provides technology advisory services, including forensic acquisition and examination of electronic evidence and analysis of electronic data for corporate fraud and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) investigations, expert analysis and testimony, and litigation support. 
 
Daniel has worked with clients in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, finance, oil and ga, technology, construction, maritime, and healthcare and was appointed by the Singapore Courts as an expert witness and joint digital forensics expert. 
 
Daniel’s notable assignments include a large-scale multi-jurisdictional investigation for a state-owned oil and gas enterprise in Asia that required forensic acquisition and examination of more than 100 electronic devices and processing and analysing a high volume of electronic evidence. Most recently, he worked on behalf of a Singapore law enforcement agency, analysing multiple electronic devices, preparing forensic expert reports and providing evidence to the Singapore State Court. 
 
Daniel is a EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) and a Certified Mobile Examiner (Cellebrite).
